About the Race

The Ellerton Triathlon is a Standard and Sprint distance triathlon along with Relays and AquaBike events in both distances based at the scenic Ellerton Lake near Richmond in North Yorkshire.

To add to our inclusivity, this year we have added an option for a female only swim start, as well as female changing and toilets.

DATE: 14th June 2025

START TIME: 9:00AM

LOCATION: Ellerton Lake, near Richmond

Registration available Friday evening and from 7AM on race day. Camping is also available on-site (arranged directly with Ellerton Lake).

Race Options

Standard Distance

  • 1500m Swim in Ellerton Lake (2 laps)
  • 40km Bike – 2 laps – rural roads open to traffic
  • 10km off-road run

Sprint Distance

  • 750m Swim in Ellerton Lake (1 lap)
  • 20km Bike – 1 lap – rural roads open to traffic
  • 5km off-road run
 
Both distances are available as relay and AquaBike options.

One of our awesome members went out and rode the bike routes for Ellerton to help you navigate the course and avoid any confusion, mainly at the Scorton roundabout where you either go for another loop on the standard, or head back to transition for the sprint.

RACE UPDATES

ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN

After a hugely successful 2024 race, the Ellerton triathlon is back for 2025, to be held on the 14th June 2025.

We are still offering the Standard and Sprint distances along with Relays and AquaBikes available in both distances to make sure our event can cater for those of all abilities!

We are really looking forward to seeing you on the start line, whether it is your first time at Ellerton, your first triathlon or your 101st triathlon you will be welcomed and cheered on all the same!
